All For His Glory

"I have the right to do anything," you say, but not everything is beneficial. "I have the right to do anything," but not everything is constructive.
"No one should seek their own good, but the good of others...so whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." 1 Cor. 10:23, 24, 31
Dear Hearts,
Here St. Paul draws on such an important concept. In todays society, anything and everything goes, all in the name of "freedom." But we need to remember that freedom is a gift given to us by our Heavenly Father. We do not have a "right" to do that which goes against God's law- that which is not beneficial to our journey to heaven and our aim for sainthood.
We do not have a right to contribute to the world that which will only pollute it. Rather, we have been blessed with the opportunity to contribute to it that which is beautiful and that which is constructive! How beautiful is that! We can be instruments of the King of Glory to make this world a beautiful place. And get this, in doing so, we only get closer and closer to perfect happiness, joy, and splendor! We can be saints!
Kara
