120 Days to Momnipotence: Day 55

by Danielle Bean
St. Francis de Sales once said, “Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them – every day begin the task anew.”
Are you patient with yourself? Do you struggle to do this?
Sometimes, we are our own worst critics. We are frail creatures. It can be easy to notice and dwell upon all of our sins, weaknesses, and failures, but it’s important to remember that the temptation toward despair and hopelessness is a temptation toward the sin of rejecting God’s greatness and goodness.
God made you good and has great plans for you. Do you believe that? What kind of challenge do you hear in those words?
