King Charles' personal chaplain, in front of the King's court, tests St. John Baptist De La Salle:
"Since you are so intelligent, tell me what God is doing right now."
St. John De La Salle responded:
"God is doing now what he has always done. He is pushing down those who are proud and is raising up the lowly."
Dear Merciful Lord,
I am a sinner. Please help rid me of my pride and be humble in your sight.
